Less Fructose
Fructose is a type of sugar your body converts to fat quickly. You shouldn’t consume large amounts of fructose outside of that which you get in fresh fruit, notes Harvard Health Publications. Coconut sugar has just 45 percent fructose, making it a better option than these other sweeteners.

Earth Friendly

The United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization named coconut palm sugar the most sustainable sweetener in the world in 2014. The trees use minimal amounts of water and fuel, especially compared to sugar cane production, and produce for about 20 years. It has no artificial ingredients and is not chemically altered in any way.

Production process

Coconut blossom sugar is created from the blossom of the coconut tree. New sprouts of coconut blossoms are cut and then tied together before they are pollinated and become baby coconuts. The tied blossom bundle will bleed a sap, which is harvested. The sap is heated until it becomes a caramel, which is then dried into a sugar. The sugar is filtered through meshes with different thread counts. Coconut sugar has been used as a traditional sweetener for thousands of years in the South and South-East Asian regions where the coconut palm is in abundant supply. We work together with local farmers and have dedicated quality control at the source to ensure that our coconut sugar is of organic quality without any additives.

Product Story & Background

Coconut blossom sugar has been used for thousands of years in South East Asia and Polynesia as a main source of sugar and alcohol! It is only recently that Australia, USA and Europe are being introduced to a table ready granulated sugar from the coconut blossom.

Coconut sugar is subtly sweet, almost like brown sugar, with a slight hint of caramel. Coconut Blossom Sugar is used anywhere instead of honey, cane sugar, beet sugar and other sugars. It is the perfect sugar alternative. It is ideal for making chocolates, baking, and other recipes calling for a sweetener.
