Organic Cacao Butter

Cacao butter wafers are made by cold pressing oil cacao bean oil. The pods are harvested by hand and fermented to reduce their initial bitterness. The cacao butter is then melted and poured into a mold to create small wavers.

Cacao butter can be used to make raw chocolate, as well as to enhance the typical cacao flavor in desserts. It is also used in cosmetics, lotions and pharmaceuticals.

Organic Deodourised Cacao butter is the cold-pressed oil of cacao beans. The pods are harvested by hand and fermented to reduce their initial bitterness. When cocoa butter is deodorised, it undergoes some changes. It is deodourised by using a process that injects stem into the melted cocoa butter. This pushes out volatile components which contribute to the natural odour of cocoa butter. The result is a product that is significantly reduced in odour.

Deodorised cocoa butter is typically used in personal care products and soap making where a chocolate smell is unwanted.
